Superfood Steel Cut Oats: Goji Banana Coconut Maca


Breakfast of champions, better than sliced bread.

Ingredients (Keep it Organic)
Serves 4

1 cup Steel Cut Oats
3 cups Water
1 Banana
1/2 cup Goji Berries
1/2 cup Raisins
1/3 cup Coconut flakes
3 tbs Maca
Sprinkle of Pink Himalayan Salt

Directions:

Bring Water and Salt to Boil. Add all other ingredients and stir on low heat. Stir/let simmer for about 10-20 minutes. Enjoy like crazy and share abundantly.

Superman's love child


I have been drinking this every day for a week. It makes the world go round. For real.

Ingredients:
Serves 4

1/4 Organic Cucumber
4 Stalks Organic Celery
5 Handfuls of Spinach
1 Organic Yellow Pepper
2 Tbs Miso Paste
Enough filtered water to fill the Vita-mix

Directions:

Vita-mix it. Drink it. Share it. Flex.

Preserved Lemons O.M.G!!!!!!!!!


These take 30 seconds to make. Then as result of said preserved lemon making, you become an instant food genius. It's a win win situation.

Ingredients:
Serves Many

5 Organic Meyer Lemons that are starting to get really soft (almost moldy)
1/4 Cup of Pink Salt
Dash Of Cinnamon

Directions:

Cut up the lemons into little slices, add the salt and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Mix, mix, mix with your hands and then mash, mash, mash into the mason jar (fill it 7/8 full). Leave a little air in the jar. Store for up to a year.

Plain-old-Beets-'n-Coconut-Oil


Sometimes less is more. This is one of those times.

Ingredients:

4 Cubed Red Beets
4 Cubed Yellow Beets
3 tbs coconut Oil
Pink Himalayan Crystal Salt

Directions:
Boil Beets in hot water till they are cooked. Drain. Add Coconut Oil and Salt then Stir. Eat up till your heart desire<3

Today's Green Drink of Fantastic Awesomeness


I have made a commitment to myself to drink a green drink every day. It seems easier to me to follow a diet of addition rather than subtraction (Don't eat this, Don't eat that vs. Yes! Eat this! Yes! Eat that!)

The green drinks have gone through phases. Some have been documented here, some haven't. In the winter, i got really into adding cinnamon, banana and ginger to the drinks. Then they got sweet and I started adding nuts. But now, as spring approaches, I am wanting to drink something a little lighter and more vibrant. Today's drink was my response to that desire (plus it was all I had left in my fridge.)

Ingredients:

3 Stalks Celery
1/2 Small Yellow Beat
1 small Tomato
1 Bunch Parsley
1/2 Avocado
4 Tbs Lemon Juice (yipee!!!!!!)
Pink Himalayan Crystal Salt as desired
4 cups filtered Water

Directions:

Throw it all in the vita-mix and blend until smooth. Share!

Breakfast greens


I have been detoxing from caffeine for the past 5 days, which for me = exhausted. My solution is to big up on as much green power as possible. I eat these greens for breakfast with a couple eggs and they give me the energy boost that I would rather get from coffee.

Ingredients:

1 Bunch Chard
1 Bunch Collard Greens
2 Tbs. Coconut Oil
2 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar

Directions:

Put it all in a big pot. Heat and Stir until it has shrunken down and is bright green. Try not to overcook it.

Superfood Chocolate: To Heaven and Beyond.


When I share this, I tell people: " This is how I say I love you."

Packed with super foods and tasty ingredients, this chocolate love is low in sugar and high in tastiness. I hope that you like it!

Ingredients:
Serves 24

Dry Goods

1 tsp Vanilla
4 tbs Ground Hazelnuts
1 Tsp Cinnamon
Dash of Cardamon
2 tsp Maca
2 tsp Lucuma Powder
2 tsp Mesquite
3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
Dash of Pink Himalayan Salt

Wet Goods

1 Cup Cocoa Butter
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Local Honey

Directions:

Put all the dry goods together in the Vitamix. Melt the wet goods on the stove until they are liquid. Put liquid into Vitamix with dry goods and blend. Pour saucy chocolate into silicone ice cube trays that are shaped like hearts, or stars, or roses etc and stick in freezer to set. If you don't have these, you can get them on Amazon (do a search for ice cube trays). They are a key utensil for your new life of making chocolate.

Rosehip Ginger Jam


Also known as Yum Sauce. When I eat this, I am reminded that food is medicine.

Ingredients:
Serves 24

1 cup dried rose hips
1 inch peeled ginger
1 cup green tea
1 Tbs Honey
Cinnamon
Cardamom

Directions:

Mix it all together a let it simmer on the stove for 10 minutes (To keep it raw, just let it sit for 1 hour and replace green tea with sun tea). Blend it up good in the vitamix.

Kraut of Epic Proportions



I have always been intimidated by fermented foods- well at least intimidated to make fermented foods. But my friends birthday Kraut party forced me to get over my fear, make some kick ass Kraut and then share it with you!

Ingredients:
Serves Many

1 Red Cabbage
1 Green Cabbage
1 Apple
4 Carrots
4 inches Peeled Ginger
4 Garlic Cloves
2 JalapeƱo Peppers
1/2 Celery Root
pinch of salt

Directions: (Way easier than I thought)

Stick all ingredients in a shredder (food processor). Then put them in a big bowl and massage, massage, massage them until they are sitting in liquid generated from massaging them Put Kraut in a mason jar and pack it in tight, so that there is some juice at the top of the kraut. Leave an inch of space from the top of the jar because it will expand over time. Put on the lid and store for three weeks in a dark spot. After three weeks, your kraut is ready. Store it in the fridge.

Goji Cacao Maca Macaroons!!!!!!


Caution: Contents are addictive.

Ingredients:
Serves many (but may be hoarded by one)

2 Cups Shredded Coconut
6 Dates (pitted)
Dash of Ground Vanilla
Dash of Salt
3 Tbs Lucuma Powder
3 Tbs Maca
3 Tbs Cocoa Nibs
3 Tbs Goji Berries
2 tbs Coconut Nectar
1/2 cup Coconut Oil

Directions:

Mix it all in a food processor until it is really blended up (around 2 minutes). Roll mixture into little 1 inch balls and put in fridge to set for 15 minutes. Try not to eat to many at once, I dare you.
